Newsletter: The LPPM Platinum and Palladium Responsible Sourcing Programme

The LPPM Responsible Sourcing Programme is mandatory from 1st January 2020.

14 March 2019

In order to be completely clear about the commencement dates for the LPPM Platinum and Palladium Responsible Sourcing Programme, please see below:

The LPPM Responsible Sourcing Programme is mandatory from 1st January 2020. In order to avoid any doubt this means that any refiner whose financial year ends on 31st December 2019 will have to complete an audit within the first quarter of 2020. This is the first reference date.

However we strongly recommend that refiners should perform an introductory audit in 2019 in order to gain experience and understanding of the processes. During this introductory period non-conformances will not be penalised, excepting of course in the unlikely event that any illegal activities arise.

For your further guidance, we will be adding a frequently asked questions section (FAQs) to the LPPM website in the next few days.
